About BioGein
BioGein is a scientific figure editor with a design agent. You describe a figure; the agent builds it on a vector canvas, one real element at a time, and you keep full control of every part.
Why we built it
Graphical abstracts, mechanism schematics and method figures take researchers hours in general drawing tools, and image generators produce flat pictures that cannot be corrected, relabelled or checked. BioGein sits between the two: the speed of describing what you need, with the result delivered as an ordinary editable drawing.
How the design agent works
The agent reads your description, an abstract or an attached manuscript, and asks a short multiple-choice question when a choice would change the figure. It then plans the layout and places each element on the canvas through the same editing operations you use: cells, organelles, nanocarriers, receptors, arrows, chemical structures from SMILES and labels. While it works it checks for overlapping elements, text that is too small and content outside the page, renders a preview of the page and corrects what it finds.
Nothing on the canvas is a generated image. Every element can be selected, moved, recoloured, relabelled or deleted afterwards, and the agent can be asked to make specific changes to an existing figure.
What is inside
- 198 parametric scientific assets (cells, nanomedicine, molecular biology, processes, anatomy and laboratory), each built from editable vector parts.
- 485 individual vector parts such as organelles, membrane segments, receptors and laboratory glassware.
- 10,702 original scientific icons drawn in house by Geinforce. Each has named colour slots and parts that can be recoloured, hidden or separated, and all of them can be used in publications without attribution.
- 18 canvas presets, including graphical abstract sizes from 12 publishers.
- Export to PNG, JPEG and TIFF at a chosen resolution, vector PDF and SVG, and the editable BioGein file.
